9am Held on the first Sunday of the month, a traditional morning service.
6:30pm traditional evening service.
6:30pm on the 3rd Sunday of the month is a Cafe evening.
What are our services like?
Our main contemporary Sunday Service is at 10:30 am and has singing led by our Worship Band which includes guitars, keyboard, harmonica, flute and singers -we sing contemporary Christian songs and use Video and drama to enhance our services. The service generally lasts about 75 minutes. It is informal and seeks to bring people into the presence of the Holy spirit with prayer and Worship and preaching.
Sometimes these include Baptisms and Baby Dedications. If you want to see the last Baptism service please click here and choose the second video (You can also see our Minister John Ritson in action!)
Our song words and prayers are on a large screen for all to follow with written words for those who have any visual disabilities. We have a hearing loop for those with hearing difficulties. We have a wheelchair friendly building & facilities.
We offer prayer ministry at these services - people who are willing and ready to pray with you for anything that you would like.
After the service we offer coffee and a social time where Church Family mingle and catch up and it’s a great way to meet newcomers.
What about the children?
We have groups that are suitable for all age groups including crèche for babies with Junior Church leaders who have current DBS checks and who follow our Children’s safeguarding policy. Click for info.
OMC is committed to safeguarding and protecting children or vulnerable adults and are members of CCPAS (Churches Child Protection Advisory service).
The first 15 minutes or so of the service is aimed at children and then they leave to go to their various groups unless it’s an All-age worship Sunday when they stay in with us (and the service is shorter and more child friendly)
We love having children with us, and we don’t worry about noise they make! -so don’t be worried – if you prefer they stay in the service that is also fine and we have small bags of toys for use if needed for the younger ones.
We don’t have a dress code, we come as family.
On the first Sunday of the month we hold 2 morning services.
At 9.00am we hold a service in rooms 1&2 which uses traditional hymns. It’s a small more reflective gathering using piano to accompany singing. We are sorry, but there are no crèche facilities available for this service
At 10:30am our service is a contemporary All-Age Worship suited to all but the crèche children. A shorter service - around 45 to 60 minutes aimed at all parts of the family.
Our 6:30pm services in rooms 1 & 2 vary throughout the month. See Services section for more details. They include prayer services (first Sunday of the month), healing services and, once a month, a café evening.
These happen once a month at 6:30pm (usually the third Sunday of the month) and are for those who like discussion and very informal gatherings based around coffee and refreshments in a café setting- around small tables. We invite very different speakers to come and talk on many different subjects. We have had representatives from charities such as Mercy Ships, Hospices of Hope and speakers from many different backgrounds. We chat and discuss the topics in a very informal atmosphere. There are no formal prayers or preaching involved. If you have never been to church it is a very easy way to meet and all are welcome.
